Sen. Richard Finan, Santa, and Mrs. Claus officially kick off the holiday season on Capitol Square with the lighting of two Ohio Statehouse holiday trees on December 3, 2012.

The short tree-lighting ceremony includes music provided by the Chapel Brass Salvation Army Band under the direction of Dr. Keith Wilkinson and the FCI Academy Kindergarten Choir. Sen. Richard Finan, Chairman of the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board, delivers welcoming remarks, and Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Statehouse in style behind the wheel of a decorated golf cart. The holiday season is ushered in by flipping the switch to light the two official Statehouse holiday trees.
