A graduate of Cleveland Heights’ Beaumont School, Juanita Brent always knew she wanted to serve the communities she calls home.
As a member of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Women’s Caucus and a former member of the board of trustees for the Health Care Service Corporation, the largest customer-owned health insurer in the country, Brent knows how important it is to provide women and families with access to affordable, quality health care.
Prior to holding elected office, Brent also worked as a field director for the Ohio Democratic Party and founded Social Society Cleveland, a nonprofit professional networking organization. She currently sits on the board of the Harvard Community Services Center’s Lee-Harvard Community Development Center and is eager to bring her experience building and organizing strong communities to Columbus.
