Twyla Roman served in the Ohio House for four two-year terms, ending in 2002. She represented parts of both Summit and Portage counties. Her committee appointments included
-Education,
-Colleges and Universities Subcommittee,
-Energy and Environment,
-Ethics and Elections, and
-Local Government and Townships (vice chair).
She also served on the Emergency Management Study Committee and State Crime Victims Assistance Advisory Board. Prior to her election to the House, Roman was a Springfield Township Trustee for 13 years, seven of which she was president of its board. Beyond her Trustee duties, she was involved in business for more than two decades.
Roman was a member of the Southeast Board of Trade, the Springfield Township Civic Club, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Brimfield Memorial House Association, the Springfield Academic Society, the Summit County Farm Bureau, and the Summit County Township Association.
