Equipment And Staffing Fees


The Ohio Statehouse is a full service special events venue, possessing a variety of equipment at a reasonable rental rate. Equipment that the Ohio Statehouse does not possess may be provided by an approved rental service provider. Final payment must be received five days prior to the date of the event.

 

Staffing


Labor
Labor costs per CSRAB staff person for the set up and break down of events.

Security
The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is responsible for all security on Capitol Square. The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) and the OSHP determine the number of troopers needed for each event based on a variety of factors including expected attendance. Security is required for approved events serving alcohol on Capitol Square. The Capitol Square security fee is $70 an hour. The total fee is based upon the number of officers and total time required. A four hour minimum is required. If more than four officers are needed, a Sergeant is required, in addition, at the rate of $81 an hour.

Tour Guides

Tours for after-hours events are available at the rate of $25 per tour guide per hour, with a minimum two-hour charge. Each guide can accommodate a tour group of up to 50 guests, although smaller groups are preferred. Tours are required to be booked at least two weeks in advance of the event.
